2025: A Year of Growing Need and Real Impact for TSN

Looking back, 2025 was a year of growing need, tough challenges and real impact.

Last year, we received 556 requests for support, a 268% increase compared to 2024 and provided direct support to 79 whistleblowers, a 97.5% increase from the previous year. These cases reached across continents including the United States, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East and represented a wide range of sectors, showing that whistleblower support is needed everywhere.

While much of our work must remain confidential, we were able to share the Victoria Flores case. Victoria, a former commander at the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, filed a whistleblower retaliation, wrongful termination, civil rights violation, and gender discrimination lawsuit against Sheriff Chad Bianco and other senior officials in July 2025. This case showed the critical role of protecting sensitive sources and supporting journalists in complex investigations. Many other cases stay behind the scenes, often involving high-risk or anonymous individuals, so our impact is not always visible, but every case matters.

Reflecting on 2025, we are proud of what was accomplished and inspired by the resilience of the people we support. The year ahead brings serious challenges, but also opportunities to strengthen protections, expand reach, and continue standing with those who risk everything to speak out.

Looking ahead, we will continue this work with the same dedication and determination, ready to respond to every challenge and every change the world brings. We hope as many people as possible will join us in standing with truth-tellers and helping make the world a better place. Will you join us today?
