TSN Stands with Whistleblower Alhaji Mamadi Kurang
Alhaji Mamadi Kurang is a Gambian whistleblower who spoke up after discovering serious problems with how public money was managed by government officials. Instead of staying silent, he shared information about alleged corruption that could harm the people of Gambia.
Since then, Kurang has faced threats, harassment, and attacks. Unfortunately, this happens too often to whistleblowers—rather than being protected, they are punished for telling the truth.
We believe whistleblowers like Kurang deserve support, not targeting. That’s why The Signals Network joined other civil society organizations in signing a public statement calling for his protection and for action against those threatening him.
You can read the full statement here.
At The Signals Network, we help whistleblowers who face retaliation after sharing information in the public interest. We stand with Kurang and all whistleblowers who take risks to expose wrongdoing.
